ABOUT IRYNA PREEN
Q1: Who are you as an artist?
I’m Iryna Preen, a pianist turned wool artist. With over 25 years of experience teaching piano, I discovered my passion for wool painting. My journey blends musical sensitivity with the tactile beauty of merino wool, creating vibrant, detailed artworks.
Q2: What makes you a unique artist?
My transition from piano teacher to wool artist is unique. Each piece I create, whether a landscape or a sculpture, is meticulously handcrafted and impossible to replicate. When you gaze at my artwork, you'll discover new details each time you look. Additionally, I continue to teach piano, guiding my students to bloom like flowers reaching for the sun through my unique teaching methods.
Q3: What do you bring to the world as an artist?
I bring serenity, beauty, and magic into everyday life through my wool sculptures and landscapes. My work radiates positive energy, transforming spaces into sanctuaries of calm and inviting viewers to find joy in the details.
Q4: What do you want people to say about you?
I want people to see me as an artist who creates unique, magical pieces that bring joy and tranquility. I hope they feel the love and passion I pour into each artwork, appreciating the deep symbolism and meticulous craftsmanship.
Q5: How do you connect with people through your art?
My art is a conversation starter and a source of inspiration. It connects with people on an emotional level, offering a serene escape from the chaos of everyday life. Each piece is like a child to me, and I seek new "parents" who will love and cherish them as much as I do.
Q6: What is the essence of your creativity?
My creativity lies in transforming ordinary materials into extraordinary works of art. It’s about finding beauty in the unexpected, sharing that vision with the world, and imbuing each piece with positive energy and intricate detail.
